i've finally succumbed to the temptation and bought myself two more books. =3 for the past 1 month i've bought 6 books!
  1. The Magician's Guild by TRUDI CANAVAN (in a trilogy)
  2. The Golden Compass by PHILIPP PULLMAN (trilogy too. i've read it before, but i love it so much i wanna read it again)
  3. The Subtle Knife by PHILIPP PULLMAN
  4. Pride and Prejudice by JANE AUSTEN (because ainan recommended it, so i'll try reading it again)
  5. The Novice by TRUDI CANAVAN
  6. The High Lord by TRUDI CANAVAN

those last two are bought today ^^ and i wanna complete the series of His Dark Materials so i'll probably buy 'The Amber Spyglass' when i see it. =3

i really love buying books. the thrill of seeing it stacked up in the bookcase, the sense of fulfillment or disappointment when you've read the book from cover to cover, the texture of the pages, the delicious words =) i know i must be a weirdo for describing words as 'delicious', but you care? XD

i must be one of the crazy few who blog about books. then again, people blog about their pet dog/cat/bird/spider >.> and others blog about their love/sex/work/family life. why can't i blog about books?

of course, i bought so much because... novels in taiwan are DARN cheap! i'm not even talking about second hand stores. i bought philip pullman's and austen's books at 39 sing dollar! it's 13 dollars per book, cheaper than popular bookstore. since my ang pao money in taiwan is not in singapore dollar but in new taiwan dollar... i might as well spend spend spend /gg

and you might've noticed... i like kiddy books like 'the golden compass' and 'anne of green gables' XD so you won't catch me dead reading stiff, boring-looking books like 'gone with the wind' or 'wuthering heights'. but.. that doesn't mean i don't wanna try reading them one day. maybe 'vanity fair'. i do vaguely remember seeing that somewhere.

ahhhh, to rattle on about books is rather refreshing ^^

Words of the *~PaRaNoId QuEEn~*
will probably talk about taiwan tonight
