okay, i promised my cell group that i'll blog about the sunday when i accompanied my aunt to her church. so it's like this: my aunt hasn't been back in church for a year because her work was everyday (mon to sun) she wanted to quit but her boss rejected her resignation, saying she had to find her replacement before going. (stupid taiwan and their negligible labour laws)
so hurray, finally a sunday that only requires her to report in the afternoon, she said because she was embarrassed to go back to church (after that one year of 'backsliding'), she'll feel less burdened if she brought a friend (a.k.a me) with her.
so off we scooted to church with her daughter. yeah now i'll recall what happened.
being a 'visitor' of my aunt's church once (when i was sec 3), the familiar building came before me when we arrived. she immediately alighted and headed towards the church people. and everyone embraced her, and later on i saw her tearing too. it was a bizarre yet... heartwarming thing to see that everyone welcomed her back to church after backsliding still.
this church is actually a traditional church, yet there were hints of openness. like, people raising their hands, clapping. yeah. no tongues though XD
i love the praise and worship. it's rather tricky trying to catch all the chinese words (and i don't understand some, SOME words in traditional chinese). but there was a worship song where 4 lines wrote: "God's Love is as high as the sky, and as deep as the sea. the distance between the east and the west is how far God wants to put our sins away from us." okay, i know the line sounds cheesy now as i type it. but i guess then... the feeling was a lot more different. and yes, i do feel Him. that was probably the best moment of the entire service, which once again, prove that things happen to me especially during praise and worship XD (okay, that sounds silly)
sermon was about reading the bible. im not going to regurgitate the entire sermon over again. yeap, it's pretty basic, but refreshing ^^ though i frowned when the pastor said he don't believe God speaks as in... speaks. But through the Holy Spirit's prompting and the bible. oh well >.>
first week of the month: Holy Communion!!!!
NOOO, i must be baptised before i can drink the 'wine' and eat the 'bread'!!!
noooo fairrrr >.>
but guess what??? the pastor personally broke the round, flat bread into pieces and distributed it into different trays. that's very very sweet of him. but well, the church is 80 strong, and the pieces are of uneven sizes XD
i think that's pretty much what's most impactful in my mind. so there, i kept my promise. see you again!
(P.S: to those who wonders about my trip, i'll tell you after im back. i don't have the pictures uploaded here >.>)
Words of the ~*PaRaNoId QuEEn*~
so happy to be in the House of God.
