muahahaha! everyone's raving on and on in their blogs about jj after the YOG thingy.
so i guess i'll join in the commenting fun! XD
to all who like jj and are proud of it: good for you! welcome to the family!
to all who don't like jj and detests it: good for you! get lost!
to all who are neutral about it: good for you! stay that way!
i apologise if i offended anyone within that 3 sentences.
but on a serious note, to all who hates/loathes/detests my school: i've no qualms about what you think. but don't, DON'T ever express it in such a way that bring others down. please do remember that in the cybernet, anyone can find your blog and read it. so you have no idea how much you may hurt the reader. obviously the people hurt are the jj students >.>
some disclaimers: actually i'm basing my comments on a blog entry made by a guy. i have no qualms whatsoever about what he feels. as long as he doesn't hurt others in the process. and this he gotta know: no matter how much he hates my school, i love him as how i love my og, so it's separate from what he did =p so that's the disclaimer okay? really ... 'guy', XD you hurt a lot of people's feelings, including mine. because we DO know each other. but thank you for being gracious to apologise for your use of words. =)
erm... i won't deny that we do waste loads of water during orientation, and that the teachers do talk rubbish. but instead of focusing on how stupid the cheers are, you should consider the effort and sacrifice the ogls and the planning com gave.
yeshhh, i realise i sound like them now. u may not think of it, but IF you joined the planning com and go through what they went through, you might realise how much sweat and tears they've planted to make the orientation a success. i would know because when i was a camper (in 2006 T.T) i enjoyed the camp, yes. but if i hadn't joined shadows then, i would've left jj you know =3 (side track to other readers: that would've mean that i won't be the mass dance emcee!! 0.o i would hate to think about that thought now XD) so well, i'm starting to ramble a bit now but all in all, o1'08 was FANTASTIC, and i truly enjoyed myself, whether you did or not.
as for the brainwashing part... we can't judge it by one person's impression. in fact, it's impossible to judge. i would say i HAVE been brainwashed =) but not seriously i hope *stare at the long entry so far*
but well, if there wasn't such 'brainwashing', then it's hard for a new student to blend into the school so fast and have the sense of belonging so quick yeah? if the students are going to be here to study, you might as well let them enjoy their jc years with their silly mentality that jj is the best XD and besides, brainwashing 'positive attitude' into students is GOOD because it helps you get through life easier XD
okay, i'm getting too naggy. but.. jj does loads of stupid things. the teachers talk rubbish. but ask some people randomly, they kinda enjoy the simplicity of those stupid things. there's a time to be serious, but there's a time to let go of all and do stupid things, like how all of us do when we're young.
but anyway, i'm very sorry that you have to receive hate mail and all. although it is kinda true that 'an eye for an eye', but i don't think by taking revenge it's gonna be any better =X so to the OTHERS who've been sending hate mail to him, i don't know what kind of things you say to him, but ASSUMING that the flames are as bad as some in fanfiction.net, please stop that too. it's immature. why can't we be a bunch of people who don't stupidly and blindly and foolishly put words that'll harm people and give a lame excuse such as 'i'm just expressing myself.' i apologise for THAT extreme sentence too. i just don't like people who say words like that. even if my friend is in the wrong for making all of you upset, by sending him back hate mail isn't going to make anything better. so we've set the conclusion that some people hates jj, some people loves jj, some people disapproves of what the first do feels. that's it! don't argue about it anymore >.>
arghh... what a long entry since hokkaido's one, and it's full of pictures. sorry to those who hate to read. and if people are going to be offended, i'm sorry for having to pen down all my thoughts like that. but well, it's once in a blue red and green moon, so show some mercy =p
NOW! to the jj people: darn impressed by what you did in padang. (if only zhongru was NOT in ns... T.T) yeap, i've read loads of hate entries about jj since j1, but i'm nevertheless proud that i'm a jj-cian, and that i've really never regretted staying in jj. hope you still feel the same way as i do and you gotta admit, those stupid things we do made the camp a lot more fun. =)
back to my own thoughts about myself:
i guess this can only come out of people who can't enjoy themselves like that in 'public' and at home. you know, so often the disapproving look from the parents come shooting over, especially if you are a girl. 'can't you be more demure?' 'can't you speak softer?' etc XD
and i particularly like jj because and ONLY ONLY because jj accepted me for who i am. in secondary school people had the impression of me as one not fit to be a leader because i didn't look responsible enough. but in jj, they tell us 'as long as we have the heart to serve, we can be a leader.' and look at how much i've grown as a leader of jj. thousands saw my face, albeit vaguely, in orientations and camps and SWCDC events. many enjoyed my teaching of mass dance and loved my confidence on stage. if i had lacked that confidence in secondary school, i've gained it back in jj. sure, i made loads of mistakes and screwed up lots of stuff. but i'm still glad that i'm a leader in jj. yeah, so my mom and dad always tells me that the reason why i don't do well (and may not do well in the real results) is because of council, i'll still stand on the idea that i didn't regret joining council.
then again, i would know only when i see my results... so i gotta now... fast and prayaaaaa! XD
*ahem*
oh yeah! talking about stupid things we do when we were young, when i was young i would pretend that a chuga chups lolipop is my toothbrush and i'll brush my teeth with it. how that concentrated sphere of glucose can serve as a toothbrush, i dunno *look innocent* and there's another time when i was barely 4 or 5, i was standing on the bed singing a chinese children's song, and after that i made my grand exit by landing HEAD-FIRST onto the mattress on the floor. i remember everyone was screaming 'she fell off the bed! she fell off the bed!' but oh well, it was fun when you're a kid XD
so be my guest! tag me and tell me of stupid things you've done! but you're not stupid enough to do that right? XD
Words of the *~PaRaNoId QuEEn~*
a loooooong entry XD
