i woke up this morning with a sore throat. it's weird because i had no symptoms of a sore throat coming last night. what did i do yesterday? i drank macs ice lemon tea (the sweetest rubbish ever X.x) i talked a lot, i sang more. hmm... pray it'll go away. quote elyn: throat infection(-to-be), go away!! =D

sent my mom to the car in the rain. and walking back, i had a huge wave of nostalgia. i couldn't pinpoint out where in my memories does rain link to, until i realised that my feet were wet (i was wearing sandals) and i remembered the times when we had orientations, camps, you name it. i remember mr leow standing on the oil barrel telling the kids "some of you probably never played in the rain before. but here in W6 camp, we're going to cheer like we never cheer before."
i was standing on the oil barrel as well, with mr leow and... (who?) chianlim? (i think so.) i was one of those who never played in the rain before, yet here i am (in the rain), leading some few hundred people into cheering and games. being someone with a low immune system, my mom is extra cautious with me incase i fell sick. thus, i was unable to be like the other kids and tear down the street in the rain.
jj taught me a lot of things that i never thought were important. well, fairfield was the place that opened me up from being fearful of others' opinions, to develop the personality that i have now (rulang pri leaves much to be said).
NIE is fun (really!), but since everyone is trying to prepare themselves into 'adulthood' (bleah), they don't really see the need to be childish in actions and thoughts. i mean, if it rains, even i would not run in the rain. i guess that's the stupid thing that adulthood plunges you into. loads more restrictions.
but jjc was the place where i found that my personality can do things that other people may not dare do (like be the idiotic, scary emcee on the first day of YOUR orientation). my little jc taught me that it's okay to be like a little kid again. i miss the times where i can roll in flour, play in the rain, dance till your legs give way, eat two servings of food (i mean, huge servings of food), slide into the pool of soap, throw water bombs (though for the case of councillors, you make the water bomb, you throw the water bomb, and make sure you clear up the water bomb XD), to sing and jump and scream 'country roads!!!! take me home!!!!', to throw lightsticks at the raving crowd on jj night, to cry your heart out as we sing 'tonight we remember, the times that we've spent here...'
of course those things i mentioned were only done in orientations and camps. if i were to only count execution of camps (i.e excluding ogl camp, council preparations for camp), in my two jc years, i only about spent 12 days and 8 nights in camps. but those were the times most brillant in our jc life. quote amira who wrote on her msn a long time ago 'dear memories, we're SCINTILLATING.'
angry!!! blogger removed my remaining entry (did i talk SO much?) i'll write the remainder on another entry so just scroll down.
