it has been tedious going for only just 3 sessions out of the 10.
imagine the 'hiong hiong' delegates who has been there since session 1 through 10!
i salute them!!
i couldn't take pictures of all that was happening,
so i could only do so much as to take photos before and after sessions.
and there is soooo much to say and scream and talk and go on and on about...
but i don't think i can ever finish =\
here i am on friday, after a fruitful meeting in school with my GESL group,
(definition again: GESL is a school group project on service learning.)
i realised that there's no way i can make it for the electives, and so i didn't go.
i feel like slapping myself.
i got a seat in one of the most popular electives in church, and i couldn't make it =\
i ended up having lunch with kingsley (who is in my GESL), chris (whom because kingsley was too lazy to go out of NTU, had to come inside to have lunch XD) and felicia (who ended her intro math re-exam =3) lunch was good... but that's all i can say to that.
then i lazily took the lonely train ride to expo... where i met jin hong!
so i hastily took a snap shot of him =D

i always look nice in photos whenever i wear this checkered shirt...
hmmm... *evil grin*
anyway, for all the 3 sessions that i was down, i was serving in the greeters' ministry.
lots of confusion about which team i was in, and finally got thrown to team 1.
dennis was my team leader, and really thank God for him.
he was really encouraging when i finished my greeters ministry that day,
and thanks to his explanation, i have a clearer perspective on my ministry.
but no more of that.
i had SO much fun meeting and chatting with all sorts of people!!
from china (who commented that i didn't sound singaporean =D)
taiwan (who commented that i sound singaporean)
indonesia (the really committed bunch of people in the conference)
malaysia (KL, Johor B. etc etc)
and ... japan!!! XD
yeah baby! i met some people from hokkaido! had so much fun chatting with them!
at first i was a little shy in speaking japanese to them. =3
it felt as if i was ban1 men2 nong4 fu3 (showing off in front of the experts)
but they were really amused and entertained that i could speak in japanese.
one commented that i had good sound (as in pronounciation)
=O big PLUS PLUS!!
me love being a greeter during asia conference!!! =D
i know i'll want to be one again next time!

some of the interior decor in hall 8 =D
yup, the gradient of the sky is fantastic XD

and during the finale night, i had the biggest privilege to listen to jj lin sing.
he really won my admiration =O
have a sudden urge to buy his album =P
the message preached by A.R Bernard was so good, so relevant =)
and well, more fun and joy, especially when the balloons fell from the top.

can't wait for the next asia conference... which is 2010 XD

i managed to take a picture with joshie and sarah =D sad that i couldn't take with the other people though =(

my favourite picture of the month: taken by me =P

今日という日の終わりに この星空に願いながら
そっとくちづけしましょう
そしてギュット抱きよせて 夢が現実になる日は
何もかも 明日さえも怖くない
そして夢の先は...
私だけの秘密
i only just realised how much this song really speaks into my feelings these past few days.
it has been one of my more favourite songs in my limited japanese song library.
and with the even more limited japanese in my brain, i could only figure out the gist of the lyrics.
it is only recently when, all of a sudden i thought of looking for this lyric,
when i saw the meaning of them and i realised how it captures my feelings to its maximum.
at first i saw the chorus and i thought it was already so freaky that it knew how i was feeling,
till i saw its second bridge:
そう...同じ夢の国で逢えるなら
あなたを迎えたい
yes yes i know i should translate.
it's something like 'if we meet in the same dream land, i want to find you.'
i wonder who wrote the song =)
it's weird. it's just like having a dog and a porcupine. what a peculiar thing.
if you're lucky and you get a dog that's loyal and stays by you,
then keeping an animal is the best thing God has given you.
but you think about porcupines, or snakes etc.
they are so attractive, and you wish for it to be with you.
often, in the process of keeping it, you're hurt by it again and again.
yet, you want it to be by your side.
is there a point in it? what's the use of keeping it still?
erm... i'm using a metaphor so don't take it literally.
i often wondered... how it would feel if i lost someone so dear so dear to me.
i often lost things, lost people when they backslided.
but i hardly lose people to death.
and i hate to think about it, but still i do wonder.
Words of the *~PaRaNoId QuEEn~*
what if it's you?
